University of North Georgia Elite Camp | October 2022 | Dahlonega, GA

PROS

  • Camp was very organized and run by UNG coaches
  • They knew who I was as soon as I walked in
  • Arena was clean and air conditioned
  • Small group = better exposure to coaches
  • Very good competition
  • Only 4 hours long
  • My squad went undefeated
  • I played very well in all 4 games
  • Led my camp team in assists

CONS

  • No feedback from coaches on if they liked me or not
  • Didn’t really feel like I got better, just a really good workout
  • Learned they were not really looking for 2024 point guards

MY FINAL THOUGHTS: Their campus is only 70 minutes from my house which is a plus. They have a nice arena and the coaches were very cool. I had a lot of fun, but left not knowing what the real benefit was as a 2024 guard because they were mostly interested in the 2023 guards. Don’t feel like I got better, I just proved I can play at the same level as the two 2023 PGs they were recruiting.
